2021 certainly had its ups and downs - join us for a little behind the scene at Selma summary.

Support whenever you need it

The Selma customer support team has grown further with two new team members – Marco and Urban.

In 2021, the customer support was busy, and answered 21’023 chat messages and 46’419 emails. Your questions were answered in less than 3 hours by the team – faster than ever.

And since Selma switched the support tool to Intercom in March 2021, the support happiness has been nice and steady. 😎

Of course, 2021 wasn’t fully without the hiccups.

Due to service delays in February and March it took customers up to 14 days to open an investment account. Our team is sorry for the wait – even made our CEO Patrik sweat for it! 😅

Your Selma crew

The Selma crew has grown - a lot. In 2021 we welcomed 7 new members to make your experience even better.

Remote at its best. Selma has been a remote first company from the beginning. Be it in our official offices in Zurich or Helsinki, in the home office, in our home countries or on a remote island with a mocktail in our hands - we are able to work, cooperate and communicate from everywhere with everyone to ensure a smooth Selma operation.

And good times together. Remote work is handy and all but a team also needs time together. Therefore the Selma crew came together for an epic retreat in beautiful Finland. Good food, relaxing walks, quite some sport and of course productive workshops were on the to-do list.

Product updates you don’t want to miss

Highlight of the year – Android and iPhone app for Selma clients

Selma launched a frequently requested feature in 2021 - the iOS Selma app. The app is your helper for daily activities. You can safely log into your account, check all your products, see your overall balance on your investment and pillar 3a account, access your Selma account details, follow trades in the Log, and last but not least, you can switch between Dark and Light mode. 

We are aware that not all of you are Apple users and requests for an Android version got voiced. Stay tuned because something is coming for you - very soon. 

Pillar 3a transparency updates

The “Historical chart” or “Wertentwicklung” now shows you how your investments are developing. 📈 

Further, in the native Selma apps, you can see easily how much money you can still invest into your pillar 3a account until you reach the year’s maximum.

A new home from Selma

Selma as a product has grown a lot over the past years and it was about time that this was reflected by the website as well. Selma.com has become our new home with a fresh look and provides you with a clearer overview of Selma’s services and features, including sustainable investing and pillar 3a.
